Homework folders go home Monday and are returned EVERY DAY. See more detailed note on the back.
Children should be reading to someone or being read to for 10 minutes every night.
Unit R: My World
Big Question: What is all around me?
This weeks’ question: What is around us at home?
Tuesday – Practice reading the spelling words.
Math – Read the number words on the other side of this page
Remember to read for 10 minutes.
Wednesday – “Air write” the spelling words.
Math – Practice counting to 100 or higher.
Remember to read for 10 minutes.
Thursday – Practice spelling words using “Say it, spell it, say it” routine
Math – Count by 2s, 5s and 10s to 100.
Remember to read for 10 minutes.
Friday – Homework and homework folders are due Monday.
Spelling Words for Sam: (Read and write)
1) am 2) an 3) man 4) tan 5) cat 6) I
7) see 8) a 9) green
1) I see Sam.
2) Tam sat.
3) Sam sat at a green mat.
Vocabulary Words for Sam: (Read and talk about their definition)

Homework Folders: Although the homework for the week is verbal, please have your child bring his/her homework folder to school EVERY DAY.
Cover Page: The front cover of the homework folder is just a quick reference. Please leave this in the folder.
Back Page: The back page demonstrates how to write D’Nelean letters and also stays in the folder. You will receive a copy to keep at home at Back-to-School Night.
Zipper Pouch: You probably already noticed there is a zippered pencil pouch in the homework folder. I will be using this to send home important notes (nurse notes, receipts, etc.) and I encourage you to use it to send notes to me (absent/Dr. appointments, payments for book orders, etc.).

4 Folders
2 Glue sticks
2 Erasers
Scissors/small size
2 pencils (No mechanical pencils please)
1 small box of crayons (16-24 count)
1 Dry Erase Board (9” x 12” is the best size) No larger please.
2 dry erase markers (black only please)
2 notebooks (1 subject) wide ruled 10 ½” x 8” (70 sheets)
1 pack of 3x5 (white) index cards (lined or blank)
3 boxes of Kleenex
2 containers of Disinfecting Wipes
1 bottle of Hand Sanitizer (small bottle please)
Items such as glue, pencils, crayons, erasers and dry erase markers whuld be replaced during the year.
Students' names are to be on all clothing and items. (including backpacks and lunch boxes)
